Even though they follow a superior being, Divinity's slaves are better than the average person, and get treated well.

 

As for the daily meal, they get plenty of food (mostly dog leftovers and sewer water). They also get a hard and uncomfortable bed (the floor) as payment.

They are truly legendary at populous, but not as good as their owner. Everyone hates them, for obvious reasons: they are jealous that they get to serve the legendary god...
